Here at Northern Veterinary Associates we offer Home Again Microchips. Dog and cat micro-chipping is a quick procedure. A veterinarian simply inserts a microchip beneath the surface of your pet’s skin between the shoulder blades. The process is similar to a routine injection and your pet will not react any more than he would to a vaccination. The chip is about the size of a grain of rice. No anesthetic is required so it can be done during a routine visit. You can also plan to have your dog or cat micro-chipped when they are under anesthesia for their spay/neuter. Your one time enrollment fee includes lifetime registration with Home Again.
