Meet Dr. Scott Jandron
Dr. Scott Jandron is co-owner of Northern Veterinary Associates and is a companion animal veterinarian. He was born in Ishpeming, one of the “Bell Babies”, and was raised in Negaunee. He has lived most of his life in what we like to call “God’s Country”. With access to all the wildlife in the Upper Peninsula, he knew at a young age that veterinary medicine was the only choice for him.
Dr. Jandron began his journey to become a veterinarian at Northern Michigan University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Chemistry. He later obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. As a veterinarian in a small town, Dr. Jandron greatly values the relationships he has built with the patients and clients he has served over a period of more than 28 years. He enjoys the variety that general medicine and surgery offer, and continues to further his interest in canine knee surgery and reptile medicine. Dr. Jandron enjoys giving back to the community, especially when it comes to high school and pre-veterinary college students. Over the last 16 years, he has developed a successful internship and mentoring program with NMU Pre-Veterinary students and several local high schools. He also offers field trips for area pre-schools and organizations so students can see what it is like to work in a veterinary clinic. Dr. Jandron spends his free time with his son, Matt, following their Michigan State Spartan basketball and football teams. He also enjoys biking, hiking, and enjoying time at camp with his wife Diane. They are kept busy with their two dogs. Merle, a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, and Bonnie, a Beagle.
