Scott Jandron

Dr. Scott Jandron is the owner of Northern Veterinary Associates. He was born in Ishpeming, one of the “Bell Babies”, and was raised in Negaunee. He has lived most of his life in what we like to call “God’s Country”. With access to all the wildlife in the Upper Peninsula, he knew at a young age that veterinary medicine was the only choice for him.

Dr. Jandron began his journey to become a veterinarian at Northern Michigan University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Chemistry. He later obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University.

As a veterinarian in a small town, Dr. Jandron greatly values the relationships he has built with the patients and clients he has served over a period of more than 33 years. Aside from the dog and cat patients that take up the majority of his time, he has also has a keen interest in reptile and pocket pet medicine. He has owned many reptile pets such as Green Iguanas, Bearded Dragons, and Chameleons. He enjoys the variety that general medicine and surgery have to offer, and he continues to pursue learning new techniques and expanding what he can offer as a companion animal veterinarian.

Dr. Jandron enjoys giving back to the community, especially when it comes to students of all levels. Since 2002, he has coordinated a successful internship and mentoring program with local high schools and Northern Michigan University. He also offers field trips at the clinic for area preschool and elementary children, so they can see what it is like to work in a veterinary clinic.

Dr. Jandron spends his free time traveling with his wife, Diane, and attending pro and college sporting events with his son Matt.  Also keeping him busy at home are his two dogs, Merle and Bonnie, and a grand-dog Barnabas.
